Someone Stole My Credit Card to Buy Pizza

A pair of alleged thieves in Ohio used a stolen credit card to buy nearly $150 of food, and the police arrested them by following the delivery trail, according to a local news report.

An Oberlin, Ohio, woman reported her wallet missing, and in the process of canceling her credit cards, an issuer said her card had been used to purchase takeout from Domino’s. The search for the alleged fraudsters immediately followed.

Angeline Payne, 19, and Tamicka Fisher, 36, were arrested after the police found them at a house with the pizza boxes — the food had been delivered to another address, but the delivery driver saw the women take the food to the residence at which they were eventually arrested.

The police encountered the women and a man when they arrived at the home, but the three denied involvement and said they had fried chicken for dinner. Officers could see pizza boxes in the oven, and Payne and Fisher eventually admitted to having ordered the food because they were bored.

The $149.83 order included two 16-inch pizzas, 80 chicken wings, eight two-liter bottles of soda, three orders of eight-piece stuffed bread and a $1 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

That’s quite a feast for two, maybe three, people, though the man wasn’t charged.
