4 Credit Cards for Online Shopping

Published November 8, 2018

We found credit cards that pay you to do what you love—shop online.

No, but really, if you’re already spending your hard-earned money on online retailers like Amazon, Target, Costco, etc., why not make sure you get a little money back? There are lots of credit cards out there that offer cash back, and many offer cash back or discounts with some of your favorite retailers online.

Here are some of the most popular credit cards that reward you for online shopping.

1. Wells Fargo Cash Wise Visa

The Wells Fargo Cash Wise Visa allows you to earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases. For the first 12 months, cardholders can also earn 1.8% back on mobile wallet purchases like Google Pay or Apple Pay. This makes shopping online more convenient and earns you extra cash back!

2. Chase Freedom Unlimited® Card

With no annual fee, the Chase Freedom Unlimited® card might be right for the online shopper who doesn’t want to worry about what purchases qualify for rewards points. Earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases, so feel free to do as you please when perusing Cyber Monday deals or the latest flash sale.

3. Chase Freedom

Chase Freedom is another excellent option for shopping online. It offers 1% cash back on all purchases and 5% cash back on quarterly revolving categories on up to $1,500 in purchases (categories must be activated). Plus, Chase Freedom allows you to use your points at check-out if you use Chase Pay or while shopping on Amazon.com. Not only that, but if you shop through Chase Ultimate Rewards, Chase’s online rewards platform, you can earn additional cash back at some of your favorite retailers.

4. Fingerhut Credit Account

Do you want to build credit but don’t qualify for a premium rewards credit card? A Fingerhut Credit Account may be just the thing for you. You can get pre-approved for this account and shop online at Fingerhut.com. Plus, you’ll get $25 off your order of $100 or more and still be able to build credit.

Bottom Line

Shopping online can be lots of fun. Doing it with a credit card can be safer than using your debit card and can still help you earn lots of cash back. While most of these credit cards require good-excellent credit, there are some out there for people who want to build credit, but the rewards won’t be as robust.
